The ability to understand and interact with individuals inside and outside an organization is as equally as important as being equipped with the required knowledge in an organization. To recognize one’s emotion puts an individual at the position of the person he/she is interacting which minimizes the creation of unnecessary conflict. Moreover, with the improved individual empathy, teamwork can slowly be developed within the organization allowing more tasks to be accomplished in a short period of time. In such cases where conflicts were not avoided creating gaps among individuals, the skill for negotiations, mediation and resolution comes in invaluable for supervisors to regain a smooth flow of process inside the organization. This training program highlights the need for a conscious effort to increase sensitivity within the organization to enhance the delivery of output to its clients.
In general, the training aims to develop emotional recognition, enhance teamwork, and develop negotiation skills of managers to maintain the productivity of the organization. Specifically, by the end of the course, participants should be able to:
- Explain the meaning and importance of emotional intelligence;
- Determine ways in applying emotional intelligence at work;
